Festive Railway Travel Chaos

With the announcement yesterday that the RMT union has again rejected a new pay deal for rail staff, rail strikes will continue through the festive period with fresh Christmas dates planned for further industrial action. These strikes will cause huge disruption to the rail network over the festive period.

What are the current strike dates?
Strikes confirmed in the build-up to Christmas:
Tuesday 13th December
Wednesday 14th December
Friday 16th December
Saturday 17th December
Strikes confirmed in the New Year
Tuesday 3rd January
Wednesday 4th January
Friday 6th January
Saturday 7th January
Passengers should also be prepared to see widespread disruption on Thursday 15th December and Thursday 5th January, due to trains not being in the right place and being sandwiched between travel chaos.
