Covid-19 - Entering the USA

I have recently been asked what the Covid restrictions are currently like entering the United States. Fortunately, the days of travel bans, quarantines and testing are well behind us and travelling to the USA is simple once again.

Since November 8th 2021, the United States have lifted the travel ban that brought a complete halt to travel from Europe to the States for all non-US citizens. In the meantime we have had all manner of pre-departure testing and quarantines, all of which have now thankfully been scrapped.

So if you are planning to travel to the USA all you need to do is ensure that you are at least twice vaccinated. Any Vaccine administered in the UK will be accepted and all you need to travel is a Vaccine certificate that you can download from the NHS app before you travel. In recent months, I have flown with American Airlines, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Play Airlines to the US and only Virgin have actually checked my vaccine document. However, I would recommend 100% having this document on you wherever you are travelling abroad, not just the USA.

The only other document UK citizens will require to enter the USA is an approved ESTA, which I will address in a later Blog.
